Apprendly RolePlays can be seamlessly integrated into your Cornerstone OnDemand platform using SCORM packages or iFrame embeds.
SCORM Integration (Recommended for Progress Tracking)
Cornerstone OnDemand fully supports SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004, allowing for automatic tracking of learner progress within Apprendly RolePlays. This method provides detailed information about scores and completion status directly within your Cornerstone reports.
Steps for SCORM Integration:
Create Your RolePlay: If you haven't already, create the desired RolePlay within the Apprendly platform.
Access Your Dashboard: Navigate to your Apprendly dashboard.
Download the SCORM Package: Locate the RolePlay you wish to embed. Click the "Share" button and select "Download SCORM."
Upload to Cornerstone OnDemand:
Log in to your Cornerstone OnDemand portal with an administrator profile.
Navigate to Admin > Tools > Learning > Content Uploader.
Click "Select a file" or drag and drop the downloaded ZIP file.
The file will begin processing and validating.
Once uploaded successfully, click "Select Provider" (if prompted) and then "View Catalog."
Locate your uploaded RolePlay in the Drafts section of the Course Catalog.
Edit the Learning Object (the uploaded RolePlay) to fill in required fields such as title, description, and assign it to a course or curriculum.
Publish the learning object to make it available to learners.
Test the RolePlay: Launch the RolePlay from within Cornerstone OnDemand to ensure it functions correctly and that progress is being tracked.
iFrame Embed Integration
You can embed Apprendly RolePlays directly into Cornerstone OnDemand content pages or custom widgets that support HTML/iFrame code. This allows for flexible placement of the interactive RolePlay within your learning content.
Steps for iFrame Embed Integration:
Create Your RolePlay: Ensure your RolePlay is created in Apprendly.
Access Your Dashboard: Navigate to your Apprendly dashboard.
Get the iFrame Code: For the desired RolePlay, click the "Share" button and select "Get iFrame code."
Embed in Cornerstone OnDemand:
Log in to your Cornerstone OnDemand portal as an administrator.
Navigate to the content area where you wish to embed the RolePlay (e.g., within a custom page, a rich text editor field in a learning object description, or an HTML widget if available in your portal configuration).
Look for an option to insert HTML code or an "HTML Widget."
Paste the copied iFrame code into the HTML editor.
Adjust Size (if needed): You may need to adjust the
widthandheightattributes within the iFrame code (e.g.,width="100%" height="600px") to ensure the RolePlay displays optimally within the Cornerstone interface.Save or publish the content.
Test the Embed: Verify that the RolePlay displays and functions correctly within Cornerstone OnDemand.
TinCan/xAPI and cmi5 Support
Cornerstone OnDemand supports xAPI (Tin Can API) and cmi5 standards. While Apprendly RolePlays don't currently output xAPI/cmi5, support for this is planned, using the cmi5 standard.
